Welland Tribune goes deep into the details of “The diamond Drake jacket” which has been a year and a half in the making. From the 235 Diamond Foundry created diamonds that are hand-embroidered into the shape of the OVO owl on the fabric, to a special piece of fabric taken out from the archives of the French mill Dormeuil that dates back to 1927, and a fashion designer with couture embroidery skills, who spent a weekend hand-sewing the diamonds in a couture setting that maximizes clarity and light, and a sense of movement.
