The DSM x Diamond Foundry exclusive jewelry collection with internationally renowned Dover Street Market was launched during Paris Fashion Week and will be available globally in April 2019. To celebrate, the collection debuted at an intimate dinner, on March 4th with the designer, fashion figures and media from the United States, England, China, and Japan.
Welcomed into a 17th-century Parisian private apartment overlooking the Palais Royal, with Katerina Jebb’s life-size art installations illuminating the rustic walls, the guests headed toward the gallery room to see the collection exhibited for the first time. The six renowned contemporary fine jewelry designers behind the DFxDSM collections, Ana Khouri, Hum, Hunrod, Raphaele Canot, Delfina Delettrez, and Sophie Bille Brahe, were also present at the event showcasing their one-of-a-kind pieces nestling Diamond Foundry diamonds.
Mona Sadat Akhavi, Vice President Marketing, Diamond Foundry says, “The inspiration behind the DFxDSM collaboration was our mutual passion for innovation and creativity. We wanted to create a collaboration that was inspired by our unique and special diamond cuts enhanced by each designer’s expert craftsmanship, to push the boundaries of design.”
Dickon Bowden, Vice President, Dover Street Market International says, “We are pleased to be able to collaborate with Diamond Foundry whose technical innovation brings something truly unique and special to the jewellery business and to Dover Street Market. Working together with six very talented designers, with whom we have worked with at DSM for many years, we look forward to bringing their creations to life alongside the beautiful work of artist Katerina Jebb.”
Amongst the guests, the stylish British model, Stella Tennant trying a stunning ring designed by Hunrod’s Michelle Lamy. Also in attendance were fashion influencers Tina Craig, Tina Leung, and Susie Lau, who described the event as “A beautiful evening spent looking at beautiful things.” Once learning the history behind Diamond Foundry’s carbon neutral diamonds, Susie Lau said “I don’t have many diamonds. I never had the inclination or desire but I could well now be swayed.”
The renowned French Chef Alix LaCloche featured their custom creations at an intimate candlelit dinner while the guests toasted to the speeches presented by Martin Roscheisen, the CEO of Diamond Foundry, and Dickon Bowden, the Vice-President of Dover Street Market. The four-course dinner was concluded with fortune-cookies reminding the quests to “Always be extravagant” and “Aspire everyday to be carbon neutral”.
